Archival documents
Thousands of documents from the National Archives, Yale University's Bancroft Library, and Berkeley University's Library. The collection of documents is comprised of letters between military officers and government officials about the management of Fort Sumner, military orders which directed management of the post, myriad lists ranging from accounts of the sick and wounded in the post hospital to names of military deserters to rations issued to Indians. Much of the information in these documents was recorded in bound registers.
